Cancer has been something that has affected everyone in one way or another. I have a grandmother who has beat it twice and a grandfather that wasn't quite as lucky. I not only play for them, but also the kids who lose those loved ones too soon. Those loved ones never get the chance to see them skate for the first time, score their first goal, or even get married. I would've loved the opportunity to play in front of my grandfather one more time and I hope with the more we raise, kids everywhere continue to get the opportunity to play in front of those loved ones. and share the joy that this great game of hockey creates.
